About

Who knew that when I completed my first design in 1976, that I would STILL be sitting at my drawing board 30+ years later–and still enjoying it!  The creative process continually evolves, and the mechanics of it all are made so much easier with computer software.  I no longer have to draw every single symbol and paste white paper over mistakes to redraw them. I am no longer at the mercy of commercial printing companies to produce leaflets, knowing that they might try to “help” me by tweaking the color of the model I sent them for the cover photography, and forcing me to order 10,000 of a title so I can get the best price.  I now own a state-of-the-art computer and printer that allow me to control my own destiny.  And I must say, I LOVE having total control over my product!  Creating a fun cover and layout is almost as much as the design itself…and I can work at home in my jammies with cats on my lap…what a great job!

I hope you enjoy the blog and visit often.  I get inspired from your ideas, and I need to know what your likes and dislikes are regarding the needlework world.  Keep in Stitches!

  1. Hi Sue! I just want to say that I love your designs and have many of them. I was sorry that I missed you in Moncton, NB, Canada last year but will always cherish my design you autographed for me. Keep up the excellent work!
